31-34 Weeks
Week 31-34: Monday June 11th, 2018
Marin's Size: Honeydew (or Savoy Cabbage) 4.2-5.8 lbs , 17-18" (crown to heel)
Weight Gained: Weight gain around 23 lbs and I'm feeling okay about this. Only 6 more weeks to go so I'm guess I am going to end up gaining somewhere around 30 lbs during this pregnancy which is what my doctor recommended for me.
Pregnancy Symptoms: I think I'm having pelvis or round ligament pains. Earlier in the pregnancy I thought I had round ligament pain (which I felt before in the lower belly area). Well boy was I overreacting because NOW I have true round ligament PAIN. There is so much pressure in my groin area I feel like it's going to explode sometimes. Sounds extreme, but it's actually pretty intense especially at night if I've been laying in one position for a few hours. Also having some indigestion/heartburn. Maybe that means Marin will have lots of hair! :)
Food Cravings: Marin and I have been into bagels again! Asiago cheese bagels with plain cheese, and chocolate milk. LOL
Food Aversions: Probably still no Mexican food or heavy curry anymore since I've been having the heartburn problems and that seems to aggravate it.
Mood: Feeling pretty emotional. Sometimes I just think about our little girl and I imagine her running around with Cliffton and Albear in the yard and I get teary. Or I'll be folding up her little clothes and feel overwhelmed with love for her (and tear up again). I blame it on the pregnancy. But being pregnant has been so truly amazing. As much as I complain about my symptoms (which haven't been that bad at all) and lack of sleep, I am in total wonder about pregnancy and how crazy the female body is. I'm growing a human inside my tummy! It's so crazy.
Marin's Mood: Marin's been very happy. She's getting so strong, sometimes her kicks actually hurt because she will bang her head against my uterus, or kick up towards my ribs. But that's okay, it comforts me to know she's growing so healthy!
Baby Prepping Accomplishments: We're pretty much all set with baby essentials (I think). We've got an assortment of onesies, and zip up sleepers, diapers, wet wipes, binkies, swaddles. Her crib is all assembled we just need to get her mattress. We got my dream glider (rocking chair) from West Elm yesterday. It was originally $1100 and we got it on sale for $500 because that particular store is going out of business! Wohooo! I also took a breastfeeding course last week and it was very informative.
On the Horizon: Still need to do our hospital tour, and two birth classes coming up in the next two weeks.
Here are a couple other photos from past weeks that we took! I've pretty much been living in either that navy blue dress or my stretchy gray jersey bathrobe. My bump is getting so big! But people keep telling me it's small...
