29-30 Weeks
Week 29-30: Monday May 14th, 2018
Marin's Size: Summer Cantaloupe (or Winter Squash) 2.5-3.8 lbs , 15-17" (crown to heel)
Weight Gained: Still at 20 lbs gained for the past 2-3 weeks. My weight seems to have plateaued a little bit which I'm torn about. On the one hand I'm glad I'm not getting too fat, but I hope Marin is getting all the nutrition she needs.
Pregnancy Symptoms: I've gotten a bit used to the size of my belly now, although it still does cause some minor strain on my breathing and digestion. I've started having more issues holding my bladder, which is embarrassing and sad. I've actually resorted to using pantyliners and crossing my legs whenever I need to sneeze, cough or laugh. Also had my first ever charley horse last night it was so shocking and painful! It woke me from sleep, but luckily it only lasted for about 30 seconds.
Food Cravings: Large navel oranges have been Marin's new favorite!
Food Aversions: Still no aversions.
Mood: Overall feeling pretty calm.
Marin's Mood: Marin's been kicking up a storm. She pretty much kicks all day. So she's been feeling it these past few weeks.
Baby Prepping Accomplishments: Found out that my cousin gave us a pack and play which will be Marin's little bassinet for the first couple of months (hopefully). Another big thing we did was we cleaned up the nursery! It was previously being used as a storage "closet" for our luggage and random items. Sorted through most of the hand-me-down items and put them away or set them up. Also, I've accumulated a few more baby items: onesies, sleepers, carseat cover (not necessary but in a cute floral print), baby carrier, portable diaper changing pad, diapers, pacifiers, pacifier clip, crib, crib sheets, fluffy nursery rug. Also we got a breast pump through insurance which is a HUGE help since they range from $150-350! I also bought some extra bottles. And I forgot to mention in the last post I got a cute Tumi backpack for my birthday from Cliffton which I'll be using for a diaper bag.
On the Horizon: Still need to gather more items! The crib is arriving tomorrow, so we need to set it up and continue on along getting the nursery and our house set up for little Ms. Marin. :)
