15 + 16 + 17 Weeks
Week 15 - 17: Tuesday, February 13th, 2018
These past couple weeks have been horribly busy, but on the bright side we are all moved into the new house. We moved in this past Friday-Saturday. We still have a few boxes to unpack, but for the most part we are really settling in.
Eggy's Size: Naval Orange (4.92 oz, 5.12")
Weight Gained: I was finally able to unpack my weighing machine. When I went to my doctors appointment Jan 29th, it seemed like I hadn't gained any weight since December 28th. BUT I just weighed myself on my scale and it is 5 lbs heavier than when I weighed myself back at end of November.
Pregnancy Symptoms: I seem to always be hungry. My bladder feels like it can literally hold a teaspoon of water because I pee just about every other hour it seems like. I've really been trying to eat good nutritional things, but sometimes those cheese puffs just look sooooo tempting. I've also developed pulsatile tinnitis in my right ear. It seems to happen when my heart rate increases, but honestly it's starting to happen at any old time. Doctor said it was nothing to fear it's just due to increased blood flow in my body.
Food Cravings: Apples in the morning are always good. Baby seems to like spicy Asian food, like Korean food...and Szechuan food. Also still craving vanilla ice cream, but I've been trying to ignore this. I'm proud to say I've only bought myself 1 pint of ice cream, that I finished over the course of 3 days....I was really restraining myself.
Food Aversions: Nothing seems to bother the baby anymore. He/She really likes anything. I think baby is pretty greedy. I literally wake from sleep (at 4 am) STARVING.
Mood: Feeling like my normal chipper self. Still a little tired/ fatigued but nothing crazy.
Eggy's Mood: Eggy seems to be active. I felt Eggy kick for the first time February 2nd (I think). And have since felt baby kicking a couple other times. It seems to happen more likely at night.
Baby Prepping Accomplishments: Trying to finish getting the house ready and possibly doing a gender reveal the weekend of March 10th! It's honestly still a little up in the air because our house stuff is taking up a lot of our time. If things seem to be coming together we will host one sooner rather than later. Also we took the NIPT (blood test) and found that baby is very unlikely to have any chromosomal abnormalities. The gender is also available now, but I told them to leave it off the test results because I wanted to find out with a gender reveal party. We also announced on social media (Facebook and Instagram) to all of our friends that we are expecting! It's no longer a secret! YAY!!!
On the Horizon: Our anatomy scan is coming up Friday February 23rd! I'm so excited to check in on our little Eggy. I can tell Egg is growing big and strong just by looking at the little pooch under my belly button. <3
