12 Weeks

Week 12: Monday, January 8th, 2018

Eggy's Size: Plum (0.49 oz, 2.13")

Weight Gained: To be honest I haven't weighed myself.....I'm too scared...I think the last time I did I was still around the same weight though. I can't tell if it's just the current bloating situation or if I offically have a small baby bump! My tummy seems to have popped overnight.

Pregnancy Symptoms: This week was the WORST WEEK EVER. I don't know if I was getting too cocky or what but all of a sudden this week things went south very quickly. So on Wednesday last week we found out some gut wrenching news that our new home was flooded because of a burst pipe. Cliffton called me and was completely frantic. My father-in-law is literally the sweetest man, because he rushed over and spent his whole day cleaning up the water and doing his best to tidy things up. After the day was over we went out to dinner together and whatever I ate was bad news...because since then I've had major nausea, near vomitting and diarrhea. Today I'm feeling almost back to normal but it was a rough weekend. I literally couldn't bear the thought of eating anything. Even smelling food made me feel ill. And every time I would muster up the will to eat something my stomach would bloat out of control.

Food Cravings: Apples. Fruit seems to be the only thing I can eat without feeling nauseous. Everything else must be forced down. Cliffton actually was watching me eat and pleading with me to finish my chicken soup...LOL. Also, had a weird craving for buttery waffles.

Food Aversions: Meat...but this week mostly everything is an aversion. Even the smell of certain dishes makes me cover up my nose.

Mood: VERY STRESSED. Work. House. Being sick and prego.

Eggy's Mood: I feel like Eggy has definitely doubled in size. My pants are not able to be buttoned anymore without great discomfort. Partially this might be all the bloating and gas, but even this morning when I wasn't all boated I noticed a pretty defined baby bump pooching out under my belly button!

Baby Prepping Accomplishments: We told a couple of friends in person and my Aunt! Still trying to meet up with people and make those phone calls.

On the Horizon: Officially moved out of the townhouse! Now waiting on renovations to continue this month and hopefully wrap up by end of the month. NT scan is next Monday! We will get to check on our little Eggy. Can't wait!
